I gave the phase 5 a shot and it works absolutely perfectly on the m400. I know in the pic there looks like there is no clearance between the ambi mag release but there is actually plenty for easy operation of both levers. Really liked The BAD lever I had tried on a friend's AR, so hoping this is as good as expected. WebTactical link is better made imo. But like most said its not a necessity, really comes down to what you like and are used to. Came here to say exactly this. Magpuls lever is OK, but Tactical Links lever is significantly better and at the same price point. But yeah, definitely not a necessity.
