My main motivation for any new strategy game is generally the quality of the AI (although the air war and equipment in HoI4 do look tasty), and it's the quality of the AI that usually makes it hard to go back as well. (lacks single unit logic) In hoi 3 an enemy AI unit would run wild and capture as many provinces as possible if it got the chance, the units moved both as a front and as individually optimized units.
